Object Storage — Continent-Level Replication

All media assets are replicated across all three sites within each continent via Backblaze object storage. One replica per continent ensures that no cross-continental dependency exists — if a continent's primary and secondary sites fail simultaneously, the cold standby can serve from its own local replica without any transatlantic or transpacific data transfer.

Frankfurt and Marseille serve as the primary monitoring hub for all continent pairs, providing centralised observability across the entire network.

Continent-Paired Deployment

Each continent has a dedicated colour-coded pair for independent platform deployment, ensuring that a failure in one continent cannot cascade to another.

Multi-Cloud by Design

Primary operations run on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for encoding, storage, and management. Google Cloud Platform (GCP) provides warm failover nodes for each pair.

Subsea Cable Backbone

Continent pairs are interconnected via high-bandwidth pair backbone links and subsea cables, ensuring low-latency content delivery across all regions.
